HOW IT ALL STARTED

Our Story


Family, friends, and an appreciation for travel brought Owner/Chef, Deepak Patel, Owner, Mark More, and Executive Chef, Greg Glass, together. By seeing the world in the best way possible - through food! - they forged a bond that transformed their friendship into a restaurant dream.  

Noticing what a substantial difference it was to eat fresh, locally sourced foods, their restaurant dream transformed into a mission. The mission: Supporting their community by turning local, sustainable food into delicious, healthy recipes the whole family would love.

We don't just source healthy ingredients, we're friends with farmers. Preparing great food relies on making great relationships - no restaurant can thrive without quality ingredients. Our Texas farmers are committed to the best, healthiest product.

CREATIVE RECIPES

Some restaurants rely on the same recipes year after year after year. While we honor the classics, we're also in a constant state of growth.  Our chefs are inspired people who love to surprise you with new dishes based on the season's best ingredients.

What is Farm to Table?

CLEAN EATING

We're sure you've probably watched the popular documentaries about what's happened to our food in the last 50 years. We've gone from eating from the land to eating from a can! Packaged, processed foods might be more profitable for certain industries, but they're not always healthy for your body. We source fresh, helathy ingredients from local farms to create our delicious recipes.

THOUGHTFUL EATING

Ever wonder how the pesticides, processing, and ingredients we can't pronounce affect our bodies? At Burnt Kitchen, we're thoughtful with every single ingredient we use in our food - from our vegetables to our sauces to our drinks. Our creative recipes are meant to enhance the natural flavors of the healthy food we source, creating an irresistable experience!

SEASONAL EATING

In order to be truly Farm-to-Table it's important to incorproate a seasonal menu. This means that our dishes are largely based upon the local ingredients made available by our local farmers. This is a challenging way to run a restaurant, but we're up to the task! Our Executive Chefs are constantly innovating and updating our Menu offerings to fulfill our fresh food promise to your family.

Bar3 Ranch

Bar3Ranch is a family owned, grass-fed Beef Ranch that has served Central Texas for three generations. No additives, preservatives, artificial coloring, hormones, antibiotics, or other unnatural nonsense are fed to their animals. Their beef meets or exceeds the USDA definition of choice - rare achievement for the industry. Their cattle arefed a special blend of perennial and annual grasses for the ultimate in nutrition and finish. Cattle are raised on their local ranch and enjoy a happy, stress-free life. Happy cattle make for healthy, tender meat.

Adelberts Brewery

Since its founding in 2011, Adelbert’s Brewery has grown to become an award-winning microbrewery in Austin, Texas. They use the highest quality ingredients and hands-on brewing. They use non-GMO Bohemian floor malted barley, Noble hops, and fresh yeast propagated at the brewery. Their Bohemian old-world floor malted barley, low alpha Noble Czech hops, and fresh yeast propagated at the brewery are one of a kind. In their seven vessel brewhouse, they use a time consuming, multi-temperature decoction mash technique which extracts a more complex flavor from their grains. We're proud to carry their one of a kind, custom beers.

Isle Acre Farms

Becky and the whole team at Isle Acre Farms are part of a truly inspirational story. Her and her husband, Pete, started out like the typical American family - working at sedentary desk jobs, eating unhealthy foods, and hardly getting any sun at all. After having their first daughter and learning about our food system through documentaries, Becky and Pete decided to change their lives completely. As a result of founding Isle Acre Farms they've inspired our entire Leander community to think about food differently. They're teaching kids, starting a co-op, and producing delicious vegetables for us here at Burnt Kitchen. Bravo, guys!

512 Brewery

512 Brewery are pioneers in craft beer, especially in our local market. They began in 2008, when there were only 2 other breweries in Austin. Their legendary Pecan Porter and Whiskey Barrel Aged Double Pecan Porter (WBADPP) are sought after around the country. They are fiercely 100% independent, 100% self distributed, draft focused, organic malt, Non GMO, Vegan, Unfiltered, and unpasteurized. Come try one of these amazing beverages in our restaurant!

K & S Seafood

K&S Seafood is our fresh seafood provider from Houston, Texas. We're proud to work with the fine people at K&S Seafood and excited to see what our partnership will bring in the future. We're one of the few restaurants who can boast this special partnership and it makes all the difference when we serve some of chef Greg's delicious fish and shrimp creations.

JMark Farms

JMark Farms is a passionate, high quality, organic produce farm. They're dedicated to our local community. JMark is family owned and operated and they take pride in bringing the very best from their farm to your table. This is why they're the perfect partners for our Farm to Table restaurant approach. Ben and Kara are homegrown Austinites with a love for aquaponics. For more than 15 years, they have been involved in a family business together. During that time, they have become a great team and hope to bring their combined skills and experience to best serve those around them. They are devoted to their strong foundation of family and community.

Party Time Beverages

Party Time Beverages began over 17 years ago as a soda and juice distributorship for the Austin and Houston areas. From the finest ingredients to exacting quality control, they produce only premium soda syrups, juices and concentrates. Every detail in the process is checked, from precision measuring to on-time delivery. They proudly produce for us their Certified Fair Trade line, Maine Root, which employs a higher quality evaporated cane juice, in place of corn syrup, that is purchased responsibly from developing countries in an effort to promote economic, environmental, and social sustainability.
