HOW IT ALL STARTED

Our Story


After Owner/Chef, Deepak Patel, Owner, Mark More, and Executive Chef, Greg Glass solidified their friendship through great food and travel, they developed the Burnt Kitchen concept from scratch. From location, to creative recipes, to menu design - we've imagined everything with the hopes of putting a smile on our customers' faces.

Because Burnt Kitchen is a restaurant with a big mission, every detail of our restaurant has the backing of priceless relationships and painstaking thoughtfulness. For instance, the beef used to create our amazing Burgers with farm egg and green chile are sourced from the only certified grass-fed beef provider in central Texas. This type of commitment to farmers with the highest food integrity is the cornerstone of our restaurant. Our vegetables, drinks, meat, and fresh ingredients are all sourced from local family farms who care about healthy food just as passionately as we do.

FROM THE DESK OF

Owner, Deepak Patel


Growing up in the hotel industry gave our founder, Deepak, a deep appreciation for entrepreneurship, attention to details, and strong work ethic. He remembers waking up early on Saturday mornings to clean hotel rooms while his friends were watching cartoons. It was this foundation from his family that led Deepak to hone his entrepreneurial dreams.

Awesome breakfast!! Today was our first time trying this place, they've been open four weeks now. You order at the counter, the menu is short and simple. This is a farm to table establishment so expect (and receive) fresh food. My husband had the Eggs Benedict and I had the Salmon Benedict. Both came with fest fruit, strawberries and blueberries, plus hash browns the way we like them, well seasoned! The portion size of the meal was perfect. Oh, good coffee too. Next time I'll try the mimosa, it looked beautiful on the next table!

Here for dinner with our kids. Friendly service at counter. Food for our table did not come out all at once but that's not a big deal. Could use juice boxes or organic milk for kids. Food was very fresh and tasty, cool little place, will be back.

I have to say we loved the homemade chips!!! And the staff was very welcoming! So overall, we enjoyed the experience and appreciate the farm to table concept! Especially supporting locally grown products and farmers! And we will return for the brunch that looked very appetizing!!

The food: pretty dang good! Our kids tried everything on the kid's menu and they were very happy! It was a very good experience! We've needed a little place like this near our neighborhood. Y'all go give them a try. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.

We ate a quick dinner here and it was fantastic! The employees were so welcoming and informative. They made excellent suggestions and the food was perfect. We had the caprese salad to share and it was the freshest mozzarella I've ever had, delicious farm tomatoes. I had the ahi tuna tacos, but they customized them on Bibb lettuce. All so fresh and perfectly seasoned. My spouse had the burger - delicious and the salsa made it spicy. He even commented that the burger was better than his! The ambiance of the restaurant is spot on with local beers on draft, a selection of wines and margaritas! This will become a weekly destination and we can't wait to try brunch this weekend!

We tried out on Fathers Day and will definitely try again. Food was good. Chicken on the Chicken and Waffles was fairly tough but flavor was good. Everyone was friendly, flavors were good. Definitely worth another try. Seems like a great place to hang out for a meal.
